For the games I’ve played recently which don’t quite meet the criteria or necessity for a full review. Here are three quick and easy (and hopefully delicious!) Fish Bites.

Timber Rush is a small incremental-turned-idle game developed by Allerton Apps, all about chopping trees.
+ generally, an acceptable incremental game for a few hours. Complete a run, upgrade your gear, start again. It’s standard, but it works
– soon progression slows to a crawl requiring you to leave it open (ie. an idle game) to make any real progress… but you are still required to start each ~90 second run manually.
– full of undisclosed and seemingly un-edited AI assets. Every character is quite obviously the same output one would get from ChatGPT. Character models are not uniform in size at all, and feature only basic frames of motion
Should you play this game: No, don’t bother with this one. Lazily made and poorly paced.

Landscaper Simulator is a game which mixes powerwashing, rubbish vacuuming and handheld lawncare, developed by Midnight Game Studios.
+ satisfying cleaning mechanics. Yes, it copies Clean Up Your Island/PowerWash Simulator/Lawn Mowing Simulator near exactly, but those games were good for a reason.
+ a familiar series of environments to clean, such as an overgrown house and a public park; again, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
– the game is currently quite short, and I finished the whole game (under 20 missions) in two short sittings
– quite repetitive, even for a fan of this genre like me. There’s no point trying to pick up rubbish until you trim the grass, and there’s no point powerwashing until you have picked up the rubbish on the ground. Even level went the same way
Should you play this game: Yes, I enjoyed this. With more maps coming, it may be best to wait for this to go on a proper sale, but for fans of the this type of ‘job’ game, you’ll find something fun.

Developed by Pixel Goat Games, 7 Nights With Vroombi is a short horror game from the point of view of a robo-vaccum.
+ genuinely spooky atmosphere. Being a vacuum, you have no means to defend yourself should the need arise (wink wink)
+ satisfying cleaning mechanic, leaving the house as spotless as you can each night. The amount of dust and… other messes grows larger as the nights progress, and there are a few collectables scattered around
+ a surprisingly investing story, if you’re willing to look for it, with multiple endings to find
Should you play this game: Yes, this was a fun, short horror game which stands out due to its unique premise.
There you have it, three short reviews to give you an idea of how to spend an evening or what to avoid! New games and review always coming soon, so make sure you save room for more Fish Bites!
