Game Review: Hook

Developed and released solely by Marciej Targoni, Hook is a simple but charming puzzle game. There are 50 puzzles, each increasing in complexity, which are solved by “unhooking” each piece from the overall puzzle.

+ the soundtrack is a simple, relaxing piano track. It is nothing special, but it never gets old at
+ the levels do increase in difficulty as they progress, adding new tricks such as hook shapes, multi-path switches or ranged signal boosts

In this example, piece #3 needs to go first, as all the others are “hooked” into each other. The order would be 3 > 2 > 1 > 4.

– there are only 50 levels, which I completed in a total of one hour game time. Whether that is worth your .99 cents is up to you

Should you play this game: For only .99 cents, it is hard not to recommend this for an hours game time as you listen to a podcast or a new music album. I enjoyed it’s gimmick, and I am not ashamed to say that the final few puzzles did make me use more brainpower than I thought I would.
